Ankeny's Summerfest Celebration will return will a full slate of activities in 2022! This includes the Parade which will require volunteers from the Club.
The Rotary Club of Ankeny has assumed the responsibility for the parade staging every year since at least 1994, with the exception of 2020 & 2021 when there was no parade. The Chamber is asking our Club to assume this responsibility again this year and has agreed to donate $750 to our Club for our services. This is an activity that both the Noon and Evening groups will work together on and will require a total of approximately 30 volunteers to meet at 6:00 AM at the staging area the morning of the parade. Coffee and donuts will be provided. Rich Bergez has attended the initial planning meeting on behalf of the club. Volunteers will have the opportunity to sign up in the next few weeks but for now put Saturday July 9th on your calendar and plan to help.
