President Wehr proposed to the Board during their meeting on August 13th that the club continue the practice of thanking speakers by presenting them with a certificate stating the club will be making a donation to the Ankeny Service Center in recognition of their speaking to the club. The Board approved this proposal and a donation of $500 was made to the ASC to continue these speaker donations. ASC Board members Brian Tiernan, Tom Friedman, and Kathy Sibbel accepted a check from the club on August 18th for this donation.
