The following District 6000 events provide educational and leadership opportunities for Rotarians. Registration is available on the District 6000 web site or contact Nate Burnham or Brenda Wieneke for more information or for assistance in registering. These events are:
District Assembly & District Annual Meeting - Primarily for incoming presidents, club officers, Board members and other up and coming leaders. It will be held on Saturday, April 2nd on the DMACC Campus in Newton, 602 N 2nd. Ave. W. The meeting is from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM and a free lunch is included. A virtual option is also available. Registration is required prior to March 30th.
Rotary Foundation Dinner - This event will be held on Thursday April 21st at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Coralville prior to the annual District Conference. The evening begins with a social time at 5:30 PM followed by dinner and the program. The keynote speaker will be Past District Governor David Forward. The Deadline to register if April 17th.
All-Iowa District Conference - District 6000 and 5970 to the north are joining together for an All-Iowa District Conference at the Hyatt Regency in Coralville. The first session will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 23rd and the conference adjourns after a reception, dinner, and silent auction on Saturday April 23rd. There is also a "Meet and Greet" reception social at 6:00 PM at the Big Grove Brewery & Taproom, 1225 Gilbert, Iowa City on Friday evening. Heavy appetizers, refreshments and Rotary beer glass included. Registration required by April 17th. Your registration fee will be paid by the Club.
Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) - The RLI is a facilitated program, not lecturing, that engages members to actively participate to learn and grow in the understanding of Rotary fundamentals. By participating in RLI members will become more effective and knowledgeable leaders in their Rotary Clubs. The next session will be on Saturday April 9th from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM at Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library.
