The City of Ankeny has completed the planting of a tree at the AMP site. The tree is a Concolor white fir about 15 feet tall. It will be decorated by the city will be the center of attraction for the 3rd annual "Mayor's Tree Lighting" to kick off the holiday season. In addition to the tree lighting, there will be festive entertainment, holiday crafts, a visit from Santa, hot cocoa and more! The event will be held Friday, December 1st from 6-7 PM.
The club will be purchasing a bronze plaque which the city will attach to a boulder to recognize the tree was donated by the Rotary Club of Ankeny. The boulder with the plaque attached will be placed in front of the tree and will read "Donated by The Rotary Club of Ankeny 2017".
