Registration for the 2023 "Rotary Youth Leadership Awards" conference is now open!! RYLA is a six-day conference for current high school sophomores and juniors and will be held at Grinnell College, Grinnell, Iowa, from July 16-21. RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is a life-changing leadership training program for youth where leadership skills and principles are taught in an atmosphere of trust and respect. The purpose of RYLA is to assist potential youth leaders in methods of responsible and effective leadership. A subtext of the RYLA program is the development of confidence and self esteem. Many participants have said, “It was the best week of my life!”
The Rotary Club of Ankeny is committed to providing a $500 scholarship to cover the cost of the conference for students wishing to attend. Applications may be submitted on-line at www.iowaryla.org.
