The date for the next Casino Night Fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Ankeny has been set for April 15, 2023 - Mark your calendars!
Although April 2023 may seem a bit far off, we want to take the opportunity to plan and create a great succession plan for future years.
- Update your calendars with the new event date- April 15, 2023. If you invited anyone personally or had a table let your guests know. We did have a different save the date on the thank you notes so we want to make sure we notify our guests informally.
- Paddle Raiser Nominations from the club members to Stacey and Laura by June 1, 2022. We will solidify before bringing the nominees to the club if we will be having 2 or 3 paddle raisers and the format. We had some great feedback at our club assembly. 2 paddle raisers, one donation ask at night of and split the pot between 2 or 3, online and in person combo at certain amounts etc. So some details we need to manage but there will be a change from last year in some way at this point.
- As an aside from our club assembly, we are in contact and working with caricature artists for the event in lieu of the aerial performers, magician will do a small stage show along with table shows, DJ will remain, we will hire AV again, casino and caterer secured, FFA secured. There were also some other entertainment ideas (Renaissance performance/hecklers and we are working on that contact)
- ASAP- please respond- this is vital to the event. We need your help. We left all areas blank- not because if you were a chair or on committee last year we don’t still want you there, but we don’t want to hinder others from stepping up if they say or they have this covered. Even if we have a chair, which is vital, we still need committee members. So please even if you have done the same thing for years - respond back – to let us know if you wish to continue on that committee or serve elsewhere!
