The Rotary Club of Ankeny launched a Satellite Evening Club with the induction of three members on November 20, 2012. The first inductees were Kristofer Orth, Steve Wieneke, and Amanda Rosmann. Also, Karl Koedam had been inducted into the noon Club on Nov. 13th but soon transferred to the Evening Group and Chad Sorenson joined the group on December 4th. They became the core original group of the Evening Club. Only Kristofer and Steve are still members. Amanda, resigned after learning she was expecting a baby, Karl a job change, and Chad due to family obligations. But the club slowly added other new members and now, 10 years later, has 31 active members.
