The Rotary Club of Ankeny has been a significant supporter of the Ankeny Service Center for several years. This includes coordinating the golf ball drop at the Ankeny Summerfest celebration. On July 12th, the noon meeting was held at the ASC's new facility at 641 S. Ankeny Blvd. At the meeting Tom Friedman presented a check for the ASC's share of the net proceeds from this year's golf ball drop which was $4,732. In addition, Dave Mercer presented a plaque in recognition of the support the Club has provided to the ASC including a District Community Service Grant last year. The plaque reads: "Various items were generously donated to Ankeny Service Center by the Rotary Club of Ankeny"
