District Governor, Steve Dakin, has received a thank you from Paul at GoServ Global. It stated the Rotary Clubs and Rotarians from around District 6000 have contributed funds to construct 19 Sukup Safe-T-Homes around the world. These buildings are now being used as birthing clinics, family homes, and also in orphanages. Together with GoServ Global and Sukup, District 6000 Rotarians are protecting and transforming families and communities. The Rotary Club of Ankeny and it's members contributed funds to construct two of these homes. Thank you to everyone that contributed.
Opportunities for additional funds for PolioPlus and Sukup Safe-T-Homes continue. Proceeds from the District Conference virtual registration, and auction items (including a quilt designed and sewn by Deb Ockenfels) will be split between these two efforts.
