The Greater Des Moines Rotary Multi-Club Committee is holding its annual CIVITAS event on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. The program will continue to focus on Human Trafficking! The Rotary Club of Ankeny has committed to cancel both the noon and evening meetings on May 2nd and pay the registration fee for those attending to allow members to focus on this important event.
The event will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, West Des Moines, with registration at 4:00 and the program from 4:40-6:15. There will be a wonderful line-up of speakers this year including a trafficking survivor, Casey's representative, and a judicial/legislative professional. The speakers will be covering a diverse range of angles on this terrible issue. We will also be sharing the collective impact our clubs have had in the past year in supporting member education and community service to nonprofits working in this field.
