During the April 12 meeting the Board approved a donation request from the Mid-Iowa Council, Boy Scouts of America in the amount of $1,250. This donation is in support of the 2018 Friends of Scouting campaign and the funds will be used to support new programs and recruiting materials to encourage more kids to get involved, purchasing updated equipment, training qualified leaders, providing health and liability insurance for Scouting members, hiring qualified staff for Camp Mitigwa summer camp, and to increase the number of scholarships to Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. This is the seventh consecutive year the club has made a donation to the Boy Scouts.
