The Rotary Club of Ankeny had seven members and three spouses attend the "2022 All-Iowa Rotary District Conference" in Coralville on April 22-23.  Some highlights of the conference included Chuck Long speaking on his football career at the University of Iowa, a reception at Big Grove Brewery on Friday evening, the planting of a tree for "Earth Day", a panel discussion on Human Trafficking, Rotary International Representative and past president of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman, Jeremy Hurst, taking a pie in the face and auctioning off his tie to raise money for PolioPlus, seeing an actual "iron lung" on display, Jacquelyn Duke collecting 12 sewing machines for Afghan refugees, and recognizing District 6000's Guardian of Integrity Award winners including Ankeny's Laura Luetje.
