The Rotary Club of Ankeny held celebrated the 50th anniversary of it's being chartered with a gala at the FFA Enrichment Center on Saturday evening January 21st.  The Evening included Ankeny Mayor Mark Holm reading a proclamation from the City of Ankeny recognizing the Club for 50 years of service in the Ankeny community, District Governor Steve Wieneke reading a certificate form Rotary International President Jennifer Jones honoring the Club, Nate Burnham providing some club history and recognizing all past president including 23 in attendance, Steve SchraderBachar recognizing 19 new Paul Harris Fellow and 14 that have reached a new level, President Brian Tiernan recognizing Steve SchraderBachar for becoming a Benefactor to the Rotary Foundation, Sally Schroeder announcing the Club's "50 Trees for 50 Years" project and several champagne toasts.
