2019 will be the 6th consecutive year the Rotary Club of Ankeny has purchased coats from Operation Warm. Many Ankeny families lack the funds to purchase winter coats , hats, gloves and snow pants for the kids. With the financial assistance of the Rotary Club, Project Fresh Start has coordinated the receiving and distribution of winter clothing each year since 2015. This year the club provided $1,500 to purchase coats and an additional $1,000 to be used to purchase hats, gloves, and snow pants for the kids. With this year's coats, the Rotary Club will have purchased 594 coats over the past 6 years.
