Golf Ball Drop Tickets Now Available

The Rotary Club of Ankeny will again be the primary sponsor for the golf ball drop at Ankeny Summerfest this year.  At sunset on Sunday night, July 10th, just outside the Leisure Garden, watch hundreds of golf balls drop from over six stories in the air in an attempt to become the big winner.  First ball in or closest to the hole wins $1,000!  Second ball in or closest wins $375, third ball in or closest wins $250 and the fourth ball in or closest wins $125.  Tickets are $10 each.  Some other Ankeny service clubs will also be selling tickets.  The proceeds from ticket sales will be split between the club selling the ticket and the Ankeny Service Center.  The Monsanto Company has agreed to donate $2,000 towards the prize money!  Plus every ticket has a coupon for Leaning Tower of Pizza coupon good for  - " buy any medium pizza and get a second, one topping medium for $5.00!" - A savings of $9.00 for a $10.00 ticket!!  Our goal is to sell 1,000 tickets.

Tickets will be available at the noon and evening Rotary meetings or from Tom Friedman at First National Bank, 1205 N. Ankeny Blvd.  All proceeds from ticket sales should be turned into Tom or at a future Rotary meeting.  Remember the Rotarian selling the most tickets gets to go up the firetruck ladder six stories to drop the balls.
