District Governor Nominee Erna Morain, a member of the Waukee Rotary Club and her husband Steve, a member of the Des Moines Downtown Rotary Club, visited both the noon and evening Ankeny clubs on February 20th. The main reason for their visit was to promote the District 600 "Toast to District 6000". The Toast will be a new format for the District Conference. There will be 5 separate events across the district for members to attend. The one in central Iowa will be at the West Des Moines Marriott on April 14, 2018. The event will start with a social hour followed by a delicious buffet meal. The diverse program will feature Rotary International President's Representative, Lisa Herring from Texas, and Mary Beth Johnson form World Bike Relief. Various clubs and young Rotarians will also be featured. There will be displays, awards, a fellowship, and door prizes. The registration form is available on the District web site.
